Working closely with the local community, Benoit now also runs a number of specialist courses for aspiring chocolate makers, teaching them the finer points of preparing, handling and finishing many different types of chocolate. His most popular event is the bi-monthly children’s workshop, although sometimes his greatest critics, all the children go home delighted by what they have experienced with plenty of stories to tell. |

The Great Taste Awards, run by the Guild of Fine Food Retailers are regarded as the ‘Oscars’ of the fine food world and recognise and reward the exceptional standard of food and drink available in the UK. It was at this event in 2006 that Benoit won 7 awards, including 2 gold, for his delicious chocolates, an event that he looks forward to competing in every year. |
